This working notice must be reviewed by qualified counsel before public launch.
Information we collect
We collect the account details needed to provide the learning service, including email address, display name, time zone, study preferences, consent records, course activity, answers, and progress.
Study records also include the learning-reward data shown on your achievements page: a dated record of experience points and what earned them, daily active study time against your own goal, your current and longest streak, and the badges you have been awarded. Your time zone decides which day activity belongs to. These records are yours alone — there is no public profile and no ranking of learners against one another.
How we use it
We use this information to operate accounts, save learning progress, provide feedback, protect the service, and understand aggregate learning outcomes. We do not sell learner data or use targeted advertising.
Payments
Caribbean Study stores payment-operation status, the selected plan and price, coarse failure categories, and non-card references needed for access and support. It does not collect or store a card number, security code, or full expiry date. Google and payment-provider credentials are not learner data and remain in server configuration.
Young learners
Some learners may be under 18. We therefore minimize collection, do not offer public profiles or direct messaging, and avoid detailed grades in notification emails.
Corrections and administrative records
A reward recorded in error is corrected by adding a further, dated entry rather than by deleting the original, so a record may show both. Administrative actions on an account are logged with the staff member responsible and the reason, which is how corrections stay accountable.
Your choices
Learners can review profile information and request an export or deletion of their account data, subject to legal retention duties.
